Information you provide

InforHobby may collect information you choose to provide through project inquiries, challenge applications, career-opportunity interest forms, career-partner forms and campaign recognition choices. Depending on the interaction, this may include your name, business email, phone number, company, website or social page, project needs, lead-source information, career goals, training interests, organization information, preferred public recognition label, recognition/privacy preference and other details you voluntarily submit.

How information is used

Submitted information may be used to review and respond to your request, evaluate fit for a specific challenge or program, ask relevant follow-up questions, prepare a scope or proposal, manage an interest list, discuss a potential partner relationship, maintain appropriate business records, and measure the source and effectiveness of InforHobby acquisition activity.

Separate optional talent interest

If a career-interest form offers a separate optional choice about internships, freelance projects, apprenticeships, contract work or employment opportunities, that choice is handled separately and does not determine eligibility for a Career Skills opportunity.

Sensitive information

Do not submit passwords, API secrets, payment-card information, bank credentials, Social Security numbers, government identifiers, credit reports, tax returns, medical information, customer records or other sensitive information through public website forms.

Website form records

Website submissions may be stored in protected server-side records and may also generate an internal email notification so InforHobby can respond. Anti-spam controls may use limited technical information, including a one-way hash of an IP address, to help reduce abuse.

Payments and Stripe

Payment processing for Founding Backer, Career Sponsor and other applicable InforHobby payments may be handled by Stripe. Payment-card and bank credentials are entered into Stripe's payment experience rather than InforHobby public website forms. InforHobby may receive transaction information such as payment amount, status, payer contact details made available by Stripe, Stripe transaction identifiers, refunds/disputes and related payment metadata needed for reconciliation and campaign reporting. InforHobby does not need to store a customer's full payment-card number in the campaign tracker.

Public recognition

Campaign participants can choose whether and how they want to be recognized. Aggregate totals and supporter counts may be reported without identifying a payer. A name or business label selected for public recognition may be reviewed before publication. Choosing "Do not list me" prevents the campaign page from listing that payment as a public supporter entry. You may contact InforHobby to request removal or correction of optional public recognition.

Service providers

InforHobby may use service providers for website hosting, payment processing, email delivery, business communications, scheduling, customer relationship management, analytics, automation, AI, or similar business functions. Information is shared only as reasonably necessary for those functions or as otherwise required by law.

Theme preference and attribution

If you change the website between light and dark mode, the browser may store that display preference locally on your device. Forms may also preserve campaign-source parameters and the page/referrer associated with a submission so InforHobby can understand how the inquiry arrived.

Marketing communications

A project inquiry, challenge application, career-interest submission or partner inquiry is used to respond to that specific request. It is not treated as blanket permission for unrelated promotional messages. Any optional marketing or talent-opportunity consent should be presented separately.

Data retention

Submitted information may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, manage the relevant program or business relationship, maintain business records, resolve disputes, meet legal obligations, or measure program activity. Information that is no longer needed should be deleted or anonymized when practical.

You may contact InforHobby to ask questions about information you submitted or request an appropriate correction or deletion, subject to legal and business-record requirements.
